BioRegion Magazine Seeking Submissions and Participation
Submitted by Emily on May 2, 2006 - 10:12am.
Saw this on the local CNRG list and it seems like a good opportunity to write a peak oil/community related article. Anyone interested?

BioRegion Magazine Seeking Submissions and Participation
Please feel free to forward this message to any other potential contributors!!
BioRegion Magazine is about realigning citizen identities within borders defined by ecology, not politics.
Humans need to feel connected to and familiar with the land they live on and the people they share that land with. Just as people who share a watershed share many life concerns regarding the interface between the human built world and the natural processes around them, so people who share a bio/ecoregion do as well, just on a far larger scale.
It is my hope that this magazine will inform and create enthusiasm around a group identity based on caring for the
attributes and functions of a unique area of shared land. In this particular instance, the coastal pacific northwest is the region I am attempting to unify.
This is a call for contributions to this budding journal for the future of living. Submissions can be writings on
whatever you believe would inform and excite people about the bioregion they share. I also hope to have an interview with a pioneering person in the field of sustainable living, book and art reviews, and a Q&A section.
Please email submissions as attached Word documents, and any questions, concerns or suggestions to s_kannenberg@yahoo.com
ALSO- If you have contacts in other places within our
BioRegion such as Eugene, Ashland, Olympia, Seattle, Port Townsend etc... Please feel free to forward this message, or pass along contact info to the above email address.
Thank you! I look forward to hearing from you all!
