Description:
Our meeting will be another organizing session for the Transition Portland Movement.
Specifically we will work on and complete a mission statement; discuss our interaction with other green groups; and continue planning for our first major presentation.
For some additional background, here is the link to the Transition Town Primer - http://transitionnetwork.org/Primer/TransitionInitiativesPrimer.pdf - a 51 page PDF.
Also we are likely going to be starting a study group in the fall for "The Transition Handbook: from oil dependency to local resilience" - http://transitionculture.org/shop/the-transition-handbook/

Transition Training
Hello everyone,
First off, let me congratulate you for moving ahead in addressing Peak Oil as you have. You are doing great work!
I am from the Transition Training Center in Portland, Maine; and came across Portland Peak Oil quite by accident. I just want to check in to see if you are on the national muller list, and have been receiving emails about upcoming training events in CA, CO and ME.
We are also setting up skypecasts for moderated large group discussions with representatives of existing Transition Initiatives in the US and UK, that you might be interested in.
I ask that someone please reply to jlough1@maine.rr.com, if you are interested in further details.
Regards and Good Luck,
Alastair Lough
