TechShop is an open workshop space that provides its members with access to many tools and machines, and a place that they can just hang out and work on their projects. TechShop also offers lots of short, inexpensive classes on all the tools and equipment to members and non-members. Most importantly, TechShop is a full-time community for Makers.

Hi, all,
From the Peak Oil meetings I attended, this group is interested in practical alternatives to expensive energy.
"Rocket Stoves," or more properly "Rocket Mass Heaters," are a super-efficient, super-clean way to heat a space using a very small amount of wood fuel and producing very little smoke. You can literally grow your own fuel on a 1/4 acre urban lot. The stove is a hybrid masonry and j-tube stove, which can be built into an attractive bench or bed, or installed along a wall or room divider for inconspicuous warmth.
