Have you ever looked at a seed catalogue and wondered how to choose between dozens of types of lettuce, tomatoes, or beans? Will that delicious-sounding squash do well in our climate? What do they mean when they say a pepper is "OP 72 days"? What should you look for or avoid in a plant variety? What IS a plant variety? And how do you determine which seed company to order from? This month we will share with each other our techniques for choosing great plants for our NW gardens and the names of some reliable favorites. Please bring catalogues from any company you like or might like to try, or just come to discover what the world of seed-ordering is all about! We may also want to make some group orders to save on shipping & handling costs. These orders could be distributed at the seed exchange at next month's ("Unusual Edibles") meeting. Experienced seed-starters please come share your knowledge!

Meetings are held at Pacific Crest Community School. Our potluck begins at 6:00 p.m., meeting topic starts at 7:00. If you would like to participate in the potluck, please bring your own plate/cup/utensils and a yummy dish to share. Please label your dish meat/wheat/dairy/etc. if applicable.
