Lesa Dixon-Gray, a Social Worker, Public Health Educator for the State of Oregon, and a member of the City of Portland Peak Oil Taskforce will be speaking on how vulnerable and marginalized populations are affected in many unexpected ways and will bear the brunt of the first impacts of the depletion of the availability of oil.

Lesa swill be specifically addressing the potential effects of Peak Oil on the lifestyle, health, economy, and social service needs of vulnerable, marginalized, and disenfranchised populations will be discussed.

Lesa Dixon-Gray worked in the Public Health, Social Services, and Health Care fields for 25 years. Lesa became interested in Peak Oil about 3 years ago and began reading about the issue. She became concerned that the issue was not being considered by others in her profession. She participated on Portland's Peak Oil Task Force and chaired the Public and Social Services Task Force.
