This was posted to the Portland Permaculture Guild list in December, and
forwarded at the request of several people at this week's PPO meeting.

Hi all,
We are announcing the "birth" of Kailash Ecovillage. Last week we
acquired a 32-unit apartment building at 4311 SE 37th, between SE
Gladstone and Holgate. We are intending to create a community of people
interested in sustainable and ecological lifestyle--extensive recycling,
gardens, composting, permaculture, harvesting rainwater and solar energy,
water and energy conservation, vegetarianism/veganism, etc.
It is a block away from Bus #75 and #17, 4 blocks to Powell, Bus #9. It's
also a few blocks from Trader Joe's, Walgreens, Safeway and a host of
other stores including People's which is a walkable or bike-able distance. Yet, it's in a quiet neighborhood, close to Kenilworth Park.
If you would like to be part of this exciting community, please give us a
call at 971-219-1813 or you can email us at kailashecovillage@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Ole and Maitri
