New video on the local impact of Peak Oil: "After the Peak"

I recently completed a short video (less than 30 minutes) which looks at the likely impact of peak oil on a single community: Orange County, North Carolina (which includes Chapel Hill).

The piece takes the form of a hypothetical local TV news "special" on how Peak Oil is hurting everyone. It's short on technical material and "expert talking heads" and long on telling the emotional story with people's faces. It's very effective for a general audience.

I've shown the piece as a kind of "keynote" for town hall style meetings on local energy issues in three cities in North Carolina. I suggest it as a possible outreach piece because its running time is ideal for setting the stage but leaving sufficient time for discussion of all the issues raised by the video, which includes the impact on jobs, commutting, agriculture, schools, law enforcement and even sports.
