Creating a PPO member/resource map
Submitted by Robin Canaday on June 28, 2006 - 7:55am.
One of the tasks I set myself during the last low-energy housing options meeting was to find out where other PPO members own property within the Portland area (and more specifically, the east side of Portland) to assist us in making decisions on where to purchase cohousing property. Since I'm going to be gathering this information anyways, I'd like to create a PPO member map that shows where people live. It might not be an "associated" map; it really depends on how much information people would be willing to share. It's probably going to be a paper map to start with, but if anyone would like to help me create one in a digital format that would be awesome :).

cool
I know that we can display an address from someones profile in CivicSpace onto google maps and I believe there is a way to display all of the addresses on one map. I haven't found a reason to play with this functionality at work yet, but I would like to work with this functionality anyway.
A quick question for you, have you contacted the East Portland Co-housing group?
East Portland Cohousing
I met with them at VBC and attended one of their meetings this month. I want to set up a time to meet with a few of them to go over what issues they've considered and what conclusions they have reached to maybe get a jump on some of the things we'll need to handle.
cool
That's really neat :)... and it sure would save some time, provided people are willing to input their addresses.
