I need your help creating a neighborhoods/housing organizing map

Hello Everyone

I am trying to create a map of where PPO members and other people who are interested in living sustainably are located in the Portland area. Once such a map is created, it will be easier for other PPO members to decide where to purchase property so as to be closer to other PPO members.

What I need from you (share as little or as much as you like):

- Your cross streets and/or neighborhood
- Whether you rent or own your place
- Other places you own/manage (from landlords and property managers)
- The cross streets and/or neighborhood of the place you commute to regularly
- Your basic housing needs and budget

Also, if you have friends who are sustainability/neighborhood organization geeks and don't mind sharing their info, I'd love to have their info too.

This map will NOT be associated with specific personal information, at most it will have "thumbtacks" stuck where people live/own/commute. I WILL keep the personal information private.

If you don't feel comfortable posting to this thread, you can PM the info to me or email me at robincanaday@hotmail.com.

Thank you so much for any info you can share.

housing map

Hi Robin. I haven't been to the meetings cuz I'm working nites for PCC now...

I live at 2548 NE 57th- Rose City Park Neighborhood.
The cross streets are NE 57th and Sandy.
I live with a roommate and we rent the basement of a regular house. The son of the owner and his roommate live upstairs.
We have a fenced backyard and the use of the driveway, fortunatly. Our rent per person is $372.50. This includes trash, water, electricity and heating oil (for the winter).
This summer I'm communiting to Western Pacific College, which is at SE 92nd (I-205) and Powell Blvd.
I also commute to PCC's training center at the corner of NE 42nd and Killingsworth.

working nights...

Thanks, Jen :)

Yeah, we've been missing you. I know how it is working nights (er, swing shift); you get the whole daytime to yourself and your business but no social life :P. Do you teach?

Way out in West Linn

I live with my family in West Linn - Sunset neighborhood(closest intersection is Clark and Oregon City Loop). The neighborhood is actually quite close knit - which is one of the main reasons we moved here.

We own (well, if you can counting having a mortgage "owning") our home. Right now, our needs are being met. I am currently in the process of converting a section of our walkout basement into a 4th bedroom for guests (perhaps tenants if peak oil gets bad...)
