The Alaska Coalition is pleased to present the Clean Energy Fair at the Sellwood Riverfront Park on Saturday, August 19th from 12-7pm.
Please go to www.cleanenergyfair.org for a schedule of speakers, workshops, bands, and other highlights at the fair.

The Clean Energy Fair will focus on alternatives to drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and, in particular, the need to develop and utilize renewable energy to reduce our dependence on oil and achieve real energy independence.

The fair will include many speakers, renewable energy workshops/demonstrations, responsible car zone (hybrids, biodiesel, veggie oil buses), pump 'em up station (pumping up our car tires would save more oil than is available in the refuge - see www.pumpemup.org ), interactive kids zone, non-profit booths, food and beer/wine vendors, and bands. The event will be entirely solar powered, courtesy of the City of Portland Department of Transportation-Maintenance. Admission to the fair will be free.

The current co-sponsors of the fair include the Alaska Wilderness League, Oregon Chapter Sierra Club, OSPIRG, National Environmental Trust, Audubon Society of Portland, The Wilderness Society, Defenders of Wildlife, Natural Resources Defense Council, National Wildlife Federation, World Wildlife Fund, Alternative Energy
Coalition, Sustainable Solutions Unlimited, Mr. Sun Solar, Oregon Global Warming Action Network, and City of Portland Department of Transportation-Maintenance.
