Looks like the first Gulf of Mexico Bowling Ball (Hurricane) is on its' way... Will it be a strike or a gutter ball?
It's a bit early to say (hasn't even reached Tropical Storm level yet) but all the forecasts look remarkably similar - this storm is headed for the Gulf - if it doesn't die out. Currently, it's getting stronger.
Markets are already reacting to the mere *possibility* of a hurricane in the GOM:

Bowling ball
I hope it's a strike!
I'm still short the Russell 2000 with 250% leverage!
Also, in the August 2006 newsletter of the Stocktradersalmanac.com, they make their first direct reference to global peak oil. They predicted a year ago based on the current cycle we're in that the Dow will drop to around 9000 this year. In all my years of using them, they've never been wrong.
