This Friday at 7 PM City Riparian: The Village Planting Convergence will welcome Heather Coburn share with us her vision for the future of urban permaculture. Additionally, she'll be facilitating hands-on activities, and to talking about her new book Food Not Lawns: How to Turn Your Yard into a Garden and Your Neighborhood into a Community. Following the talk, stick around to dance to the gypsy swing of the Underscore Orkestra!

Heather is* *permaculture designer, activist, writer, and more. She holds a BA degree in ecology, education, and the arts from Goddard College. She offers environmental landscape design and consultation services. After her book tour, she'll be exploring the use of low-tech performance arts to bridge cultural and economic gaps in environmental education.
