Ordering Beekeeping book
Submitted by scrub on May 10, 2006 - 12:30am
I recently learned about the book Toward Saving the Honeybee, by Gunther Hauk, which is an examination of where the industrial model of beekeeping has gone wrong and discussion of a biodynamic approach instead. The book is not readily available (no luck at the library, Powells, or amazon.com), but I found it at the Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Association (based in Junction City, Oregon) website: http://www.biodynamics.com/books.html
I'm going to order 5 copies of the book to get a 40% discount, which with shipping should cost about $10 per book. If anyone else wants a copy, let me know! I'm in NE Portland and you could drop by to pick it up, or we might be able to arrange to meet at a PPO meeting to swap book/money.
fyi, if you order a single copy directly from Biodynamic Association, it's $20.45 including shipping for one copy, or $17.45 via media mail.
Email me directly if you want a copy,
Norris
