Tabling on Earth Day

Since the Business group agreed on the cost, I've sent a check for $30 off to City Repair to table at their 2006 Earth Day celebration on April 22nd (10am-10pm). Here's what we get:

$30 - Basic Booth Fee (includes 8 foot table, 2 chairs, bring own tent)

This event is more than a month away, but I wanted to post so those of you interested in volunteering could comment and we could start setting up tabling shifts. We should probably have 2-3 people at the table at any given time throughout the day.

We'll make sure those who have never tabled with Portland Peak Oil are paired up with someone who has. In my experience, it's really fun and gratifying to interact with the public about energy issues, localization, and getting involved with PPO.

Earth Day table

have a neighborhood cleanup that day too so need to schedule for both.

I will be there all day with 2 permaculture booths (ppg and PPI). If there are bare spots I could probably fill in. The most I think we need at any one time is 2 people and one will work.

Planning tabling shifts

Thanks those who chimed in here... Tatjana, Jennifer, Misi, Theressa, and Pam. Mike D. is going to table too. We need to get our shifts down. What times work best for everyone (remember it goes from 10-10)? I am flexible that day and can table around other people's schedules.

Since I work on Sat from 10:00am to 1:00pm, how about if you schedule me for Sunday-midday is fine.

On previous Earth Days, the booths were only open until 6:00, the rest of the evening is music. You might want to confirm that, but they have never set up lighting in the tabling area before. : ) Oh yeah, and I am probably going to be at the permaculture booth all day too.
